A Message to Growers from Beewise CEO, Saar Safra

Dear Beewise Community,

With 2024 behind, we’re already deep into our work for the 2025 pollination season. But before we look too far ahead, it’s important to reflect on the past year—what we’ve learned, and how those insights can shape the year to come.

The last 12 months have been a period of remarkable growth for Beewise. Highlights include partnering with leading businesses in our space, recognition from top sustainability-minded brands, and exciting findings from researchers studying our impact on bee health.

First, I want to acknowledge that none of this success would have been possible without our incredible team and the support of all of you—thank you all for your support and trust. Additionally, I want to emphasize my belief that our growth is also validation of a broader truth about the future of agriculture: crop pollination is evolving and must continue to do so. In fact, if you take stock of the industry, you can see a progression of innovations already unfolding. You can read more of my thoughts on how traditional wooden hives are a “technology” of the past and growers are already looking beyond “passive” monitoring solutions, to more active ones, here

I look forward to hearing about how all of you are embracing innovation and I wish you and your loved ones a safe, happy, and prosperous new year!

Sincerely,

Saar Safra

Research Updates

Bees are 40% More Active at BeeHome™ Hive Entrances: In partnership with a top bee health researcher and a large almond grower customer, we conducted a field experiment comparing bee activity in BeeHomes™ to traditional wooden hives placed in the same orchard during the winter almond pollination season. The results showed a 40% increase in activity at hive entrances in BeeHomes™, meaning bees spent more time outside pollinating during cold winter temperatures, instead of inside heating the hive.
